CERTIFY A REGION

HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY CERTIFY A REGION

To successfully certify a specific region of the world and become eligible for the challenge coin for that specific region, each member must register three different and legal waterfowl species from each specific region of the world. Each species MUST BE a male, however for waterfowl species where the sex is unidentifiable, either sex is admissible. Regional submissions are only eligible after the hunter officially becomes an IUWC Member.

WHAT BIRDS ARE ELIGIBLE?

Any legal male waterfowl species from a specific region of the world is eligible. For species where the sex unidentifiable, either sex is admissible. Note: multiple birds of the same species are eligible from each of the five regions of the world.

STEP 1:
Once a bird has been harvested in the specific region and is in possession of a single hunter, that hunter must take a photo holding the bird, thus taking possession of it. A second photo must then also be taken which shows a clear and close up photo of the side of the bird’s head and body with that hunter’s IUWC Waterfowl ID Card placed one inch below the bill of the bird.

STEP 2:
After 3 different male species of waterfowl have been successfully harvested in a region, the hunter must also attain a screenshot of the hunter’s airline ticket with the final destination city of travel listed, along with the hunter’s name and date of purchase clearly listed, to qualify for eligibility for that region.

STEP 3:
Once all of the documentation has been accrued, the hunter must complete the “Certify a Region” Form located at www.uwcinternational.com. Once the form has been successfully completed, all photos and airline ticket documentation must be uploaded to the form. The hunter must place their IUWC Member ID number in the subject line for proper identification.

NOTE: All waterfowl species must take place in a FAIR CHASE hunting situation. No pen raised or game farm birds are allowed in the challenge.

Once a region has been successfully certified online, that IUWC Member will receive an email of confirmation within 10 business days. That hunter will then have that region check marked on their online profile on the website.

HOW TO ATTAIN YOUR REGIONAL CHALLENGE COIN:
After the hunter has successfully certified the region, they will be eligible to purchase the Official IUWC Challenge coin for that region. Once a region has been successfully certified by the IUWC Member, a link will be emailed to the member with the option to purchase the specific challenge coin for that region. The medallion is then meant to be placed in the corresponding slot located on The UWC International Division member trophy plaque attained during sign up.
